I wholeheartedly and proudly endorse Neal Black in his bid for reelection to the Kirkland City Council. Neal is a proven leader in our community, applying a thoughtful and pragmatic approach to the issues within our City and across the region. His focus on a complete community, working to ensure opportunity for all who live and work in Kirkland, is the correct approach to solving the issues we face. Neal's work to date has given him the deep understanding of the complexities and nuance of governance and he is a trusted and respected leader in our community and region. I look forward to Neal's continued work on our Kirkland City Council.
As long-time community members we have seen Neal’s commitment to making Kirkland a welcoming and inclusive city. We appreciate his support for marginalized communities, including the LGBTQIA+ community.
Neal Black represents everything you want in a councilmember. He’s incredibly smart and has a firm grasp on all the details needed to help run the City of Kirkland. And his deep commitment — evident in the long hours he puts in — shows through in everything he does.
Neal Black brings a thoughtful, fact-based approach to every decision. He listens carefully to residents, weighs environmental and community impacts, and works hard to ensure fairness in Kirkland’s policies. His leadership is a tremendous asset to our city.
I have always appreciated Neal’s willingness to hear issues and seek information.
I’m thrilled to support Neal Black for re-election to the Kirkland City Council. Neal shows up for our community—not just as a councilmember, but as a true community leader. I saw this firsthand during the pandemic when he supported the food and hygiene drives I organized, helping ensure that those in need were not forgotten. Neal has also been a strong advocate for affordable housing, including his support for the Missing Middle Housing Initiative, which aims to create more housing options for people at all income levels. He was also instrumental in the city's purchase of the Houghton Village Shopping Center, ensuring it will include affordable housing and cultural spaces for the community. Neal is committed to sustainable growth, making sure that as Kirkland grows, it does so in a way that benefits future generations while maintaining the vibrancy and character of our city. If you want a leader who genuinely listens to the community and has the track record to back it up, Neal Black is the clear choice. Let’s continue building a better Kirkland together!
